Proving Beacon is solely responsible for the retention of a student is not currently possible because there are too many different retention efforts simultaneously occurring on campus for Beacon to take credit for every student who returns the following year.
However, we do provide our Executive and Administrator level roles three reporting tools:
This report shows the results of the Student Strengths Inventory (SSI) and predicts the probability of Retention and Academic Success of the entire first-year student population. Filtering is available on most standard and custom demographic points to fuel discovery of at-risk populations.
Many campuses use this report to identify and target areas where extra resources and programs may be needed to help structure campus-wide retention efforts.
There are three charts on the non-cognitives report:
This report allows Executives and Administrators to track and review trends in the notations created by the Success Network.
This report can help Administrators with resource allocation, discovering where, and from whom, students are seeking information, and tracking which members are contributing most/least to the Beacon community.
There are three charts on the Notation Report:
This report can be filtered by notation type, time frame, category, or author.
If you filter by category or author, a link will appear to download an .csv file containing the details of all notations written in that category or by that author.
This report assesses the current implementation of Beacon and identifies areas where it could be more working more efficiently.
It is broken down into three sections:
Statistics in blue link directly to their settings area for easy management. If a campus has not implemented the feature set associated with a metric, those statistics will display as disabled with information about how to implement the missing feature.
